A bead reamer is a tool used in jewellery making to enlarge or smooth out the holes in beads. It typically consists of a handle and a pointed tip made of metal, diamond, or ceramic material. The tip is inserted into the bead hole and rotated manually to widen or smooth out the hole. Bead reamers can be useful for correcting holes that are too small, removing rough or sharp edges, and shaping beads for a better fit on stringing materials.
This Beadsmith bead reamer set, consisting of four pieces, offers a range of shapes and widths required to address these problems. The steel tools are embedded with industrial-grade diamond, which allows for manual grinding of bead holes to enlarge them and remove any unwanted burrs before stringing.
