Customise any phone case with Preciosa Crystals 

To get started, you'll need some Preciosa Crystals, CG500 Resin Glue, and a steady hand. Begin by sketching out your design on a piece of paper so you can get some practice forming the shape or letter of your choice, considering the layout of your phone case and the available space it will give you to work with . Once you've got your design down, it's time to start gluing.

Use CG500 Epoxy Resin Glue for hard wearing surfaces

CG500 Resin Glue sounds like an advanced glue, however it is easier to use than you think. It is a two-part Epoxy resin that needs to be mixed in a 50/50 ratio to become an active glue. The two parts include an Epoxy Resin which is clear, and a Hardener which comes out of the tube slightly yellow which dries clear and colourless once mixed with the Epoxy Resin. The easiest way to mix these two parts is by grabbing a piece of disposable card and squeezing out equal quantities of the Epoxy Resin and the Hardener onto the card and then mix them together using a disposable mixing tool like a cocktail stick.

Then apply a thin layer of glue across the sections of your design, being careful not to use too much as it can overflow and result in messy edges. Depending on your design you might choose to apply to glue using your mixing tool like a brush, or you could put the mixed resin glue into a disposable piping bag made from a cone of baking parchment. The piping bag method is best for achieving fine lines glue when drawing letters. CG500 has a drying time of up to several hours and we recommend allowing the resin glue to sit for 10 minutes before you begin embellishing, which will let it begin to become tacky. Then carefully place each crystal onto your phone case, making sure to line them up precisely.

Achieve a flawless rhinestone embellishment

As you work, take breaks to step back and evaluate your design, adjusting as needed to make sure everything is symmetrical and visually appealing. Due to the long drying time of CG500 there is a chance of crystals sliding out of position if you knock it with your hand while it’s still wet, so working from the top left to the bottom right is advised (or vice versa depending on whether you’re right or left-handed).

Once you're finished, allow the glue to dry completely overnight before using your phone. Then sit back and let the compliments roll in!
